CPA Arbitrage

So as you may have seen, there’s been a lot of hype about CPA Arbitrage lately. Well, is it the real deal or is it a scam? CPA Arbitrage, by Chris Cobb, is an e-book/course that claims it contains the best and easiest ways to make money online. I’m naturally a skeptic. That’s why I checked it out myself and I’m here to tell you the truth about it. Here’s what I’m going to cover in this review:

Chris says CPA Arbitrage is different from every other product you’ve seen out there about making money online.You don’t need your own product, an email list, or a website. This doesn’t even involve selling anything.

Claims made about CPA Arbitrage:

• It’s the easiest, fastest, most efficient course on making money online
• Anyone can do it
• Better than affiliate marketing
• No experience required

Damn those are big statements. The question is: could they possibly be true? Will CPA Arbitrage free your financial future and let you work 1 hour a day from your laptop while traveling the world? That, my friend, all depends on where you’re at with internet marketing. I’m not gunna lie, this course is not for the beginner… It assumes you have a basic knowledge of PPC and Google Adwords, and can perform basic market research. But you should know how to do that anyway. If you’re one of those people that can’t do anything for themselves though, nothing you buy will ever help you so this is a great place to start with learning to find markets and keywords. Everything you need to help you along the way is included though. Chris definitely doesn’t hold anything back in regards to resources. He lists about 4 to 5 resources to help you for each step of his process, from keyword research to market research to campaign testing. Most of them are free too, and he recommends additional resources you can check out to ’scale up’ campaigns.

The proof and testimonials

There are quite a few testimonials on the sales page, but none of them had contact information or email addresses, so I wasn’t able to contact any of them.

Now it’s time for the Pros and Cons…

I’ve been pretty skeptical of this product so far in this review, but there are certainly a lot of Pros. I’ll list both the Pros and the Cons though so you see everything CPA Arbitrage has to offer.

Pros

• will definitely help you make money if you apply it
• video tutorials
• don’t need people to buy anything to make money
• step-by-step directions
• awesome customer support
• doesn’t use Clickbank
• tons of free resources to help you set things up
• the ‘upsell’ is ridiculously good
• 8 different ways to promote the CPA offers
• 56-day refund period in case you fail

Cons

• doesn’t say how much was spent in PPC costs
• not a beginner’s “primer” to CPA
• need to work for it
• will require further investments on your part (I list those below)
• will take some time
• you will need to test and tweak
• some “speedbumps” in the course (like getting accepted to CPA networks)

Who is CPA Arbitrage for?

• intermediate to advanced internet marketers
• people with a basic knowledge of PPC/Adwords
• people with a small budget to start with
• people who are willing to work at it
• People that take action and will get things done

Who it’s not for:

• people new to internet marketing
• People with no extra budget for marketing
• people who can’t think for themselves
• people that won’t do basic market/keyword research

Other expenses not mentioned in the sales letter

Chris does a pretty good job of keeping costs to a minimum, but these are the things not mentioned that you will need to get (unless you have them already) to get CPA Arbitrage up and running…

• a domain of your own (for landing pages), OR…
• a Wordpress blog
• a small budget, at first
• some experience in Adwords/PPC (see my bonus below)
• (optional) some experience in editing webpages (see my bonus below)

How CPA Arbitrage has helped me

Chris is awesome with researching markets and keywords, which is information anyone can always use. Apart from that, CPA Arbitrage helped me understand the value of CPA advertising, and I’m now implementing the methods in this course myself. Also, I really don’t think you stand half as good a chance getting into CPA networks without Chris’s “cheat sheet” to use when you have to talk to the representatives of the networks. And don’t be intimidated by this, it’s not hard to do at all, and Chris tells you everything you need to say.

The verdict…

I’ve decided that there’s nothing really groundbreaking or new in CPA Arbitrage, but the information in it was definitely solid. There are, however, a couple of commonly overlooked tricks that can lead to huge profits. Chris walks you through everything step-by-step and doesn’t make the leaps other PPC/CPA products tend to do. As I’ve said before, you need to have a bit of knowledge of Adwords and PPC marketing, as in you just need to know how to set up an Adwords campaign. You may also need to know how to edit webpages, but you can either get around this with methods in the e-book or use fee editors like Nvu. Chris takes it from there and helps you with everything else. If you follow the instructions, I have no doubt you’ll make money with CPA Arbitrage.
